Case Study 2020
Terracat Studio
Online bookings grew by 40% in the first three months after launch.
Overview
Terracat Studio is a ceramics workshop offering courses, masterclasses, private events, and celebrations.
The studio also sells handmade ceramic products and materials.
At the time, its online presence consisted of a single-page website with basic contact information and opening hours. Workshop registrations were handled by phone or in person, and there was no way to browse courses or purchase products online.

Goal
Design a website that would support the studio's courses, events, and online store
- Showcase the studio's educational programs.
- Move workshop registrations from phone calls to online bookings.
- Introduce e-commerce for products and materials.
- Support frequently changing courses, workshops, and events.
My role
I led the design process from initial concepts to final implementation.
Working directly with the studio, I created the website structure, user experience, and visual direction, selected imagery, refined content, and worked closely with developers to bring the project to life.
Solution
A flexible system for workshops, bookings, and products
The studio offered recurring weekly workshops alongside seasonal and advanced courses that changed throughout the year. To support this evolving content, I designed a flexible system of reusable cards and content modules that could accommodate new programs without requiring new page layouts.
A custom booking calendar streamlined workshop registration, while a dedicated e-commerce experience brought together both ceramic products and materials in a single storefront.

Outcomes
What changed after launch
In just 2.5 weeks, Terracat Studio grew from a single-page website into a 30-page platform for bookings, events, and e-commerce. The new experience allowed customers to discover courses, register for workshops online, and purchase products or materials without relying on phone calls or in-person visits.

Following the launch, the studio reported a 40% increase in online workshop and course bookings and gained a dedicated digital sales channel for products and materials.
